Butler is an obvious athlete. You can see that when he adjusts for a pass or when the ball is in his hands. Butler is a contested catch monster that has a knack for making the big play. Butler is also one of the best receivers in the draft at getting his feet down in bounds along the sideline.The drops are going to drive you insane. Butler had 12 drops in 2018. His catch and drop rate suffer. They are mainly focus drops, but they happen. That is the trade off with the highlight reel plays with Butler. When it’s time to separate at the top of the route is where Butler needs improvement. He can do a much better job of selling his routes, as opposed to telegraphing them. He plays with a level of intensity that is needed on the Niners defense. Savage is a versatile safety that lines up all over the place. He stole the show at the combine, by running a 4.36 40-yard dash. He’s a smart football player, too. I don’t have many bad things to say about Savage.
