position of choice for former FCS players. The New England Patriots’ James Develin and the San Francisco 49ers’ Kyle Juszczyk – a pair of former Ivy League players – were the AFC and NFC selections Joe Staley Jersey White , respectively, for the Pro Bowl on Sunday in Orlando, Florida. Develin, in his eighth NFL season, has been replaced on the AFC squad because the Patriots are playing in the Super Bowl. Juszczyk, a fifth-year pro Deion Sanders Jersey , is making his second straight Pro Bowl appearance, but last year he was the AFC fullback as a member of the Baltimore Ravens. Last year’s NFC fullback also was a former FCS player, Mike Tolbert from Coastal Carolina. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, recovering from a torn ACL suffered in early December, was selected to the NFC roster this season. The second-year pro from FCS power North Dakota State has been replaced because of the injury, but his Eagles have advanced to the Super Bowl as well. I keep reading people’s posts about how we are only going to win games next year if we draft Nick Bosa or we are only going to win games if we draft Quinnen Williams. I personally think we are only going to win games if Jimmy G plays like he did at the end of 2017. His poise, quick release and passing precision at the short and intermediate range were a thing of beauty. Not only did he move the ball well but he kept our defense off the field. He had a few hiccups before getting injured last year but there were a lot of things going on. Jerick McKinnon was supposed to be the focus of our offense and it did not help having him go on injured reserve before he had played a single snap in the regular season. Then there was our offensive line that had not played together along with having a rash of early injuries. Last but not least was Jimmy G being his own worst enemy. He was learning perhaps the most complicated offense in the NFL and I think he let that get into his head. You could see it in his overcompensating from one game to the next.I think we are going to win a lot of games if the Jimmy G we saw in 2017 shows up no matter if we draft Bosa or Williams or trade down. I think drafting another offensive weapon for Jimmy at WR might even have more of an impact on winning games than either one of those guys. Our team is built around an offensively minded coach and a quarterback. I think we can win if we put points up on the board with the defensive players we already have. I agree that either Bosa or Williams would be icing on the cake but, at the same time, people are putting way too much into us drafting either one of them. “Go get ‘em #10!”Now onto those sizzling hot links:Schedule notes: 49ers to face four well-rested foesEric Branch49ers beat writers make their way-too-early 2019 record predictionsDavid BonillaReport: 49ers host Texas A&M tight end on pre-draft visitKyle Madson49ers Draft Panel: Who is a Day 2 Safety That You’re High on?Joe FannPredicting the 49ers’ win-loss record in 2019Grant CohnDeForest Buckner looks forward to welcoming another pass rusherJosh Alper49ers schedule: Let’s jump to 10 conclusionsCam InmanJimmy Garoppolo on rehab: ‘Every day gets easier’Kevin Patra49ers on 5 least watchable prime time games listChristian D’AndreaIdentifying the best free safety in the 2019 NFL draftGrant CohnWorlds longest title competitionJoe Staley offered scouting report on Dee Ford before 49ers made tradeJennifer Lee ChanJimmy Garoppolo wouldn’t let down 49ers knowing eyes were on him in rehabMatt MaioccoGeorge Kittle hates the cold so the 49ers’ 2019 schedule should make him happyDavid BonillaSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo on ACL rehab: ‘Every day gets easier’ VideoJerick McKinnon eager to get back into 49ers’ backfield following offseason uncertaintyChris BidermanGrant and Larry break down the 49ers’ schedule and the draft on The Krueg ShowGrant Cohn
