Similarly frustrating is NBA 2K21 MT Coins the CPU's ability to make problems for itself. In my short time with NBA 2K21, I've seen two backcourt violations on wide-open inbounds passes. It functioned as a jarring reminder that I was not, in fact, experiencing a true game of NBA basketball.
From a cursory glance, MyLeague appears to have received almost zero upgrades. The mode has a good set of features built into it already, but this is actually the second year in a row with no striking advancements. As somebody who loves to deep-dive into franchise construction, it's really disappointing that there is so little effort being placed into the mode.

Make no mistake, even though -- even though it looks different, it still seems heavily dependent on microtransactions and purchasing packs. As I said in last year's review, it's clear the MyTeam's central goal is to extract as much money as you are prepared to give up so as to prevent having to grind out mundane challenges to advancement, and it doesn't seem anything has changed in that department.
