Personally I am cheap OSRS gold all in for that trade-off but I could only see reddit complaining in 6 months or next RuneFest or anything and faster-ticks getting the new bank-rework meme.As somebody who stop playing RS but nevertheless plays OSRS in addition to other popular MMOs I can't stress enough how significant the quicker tick rate is to your game. The responsiveness of your sport as well as the UI would be the biggest reasons why I refuse to play with it with action bar style combat. There is not any additional"better" update. Responsive gameplay makes good games people are ready to spend cash on.
Given the tick shift is a huge project at the scope of the full game, has got the idea come up to alter it for parts of the runescape game in isolation which would benefit from it the most, such as combat? I am sure that is also quite an endeavour to implement, but it would allow gradual rollout and an easier time testing server strain. Every part of the runescape game divided by changing the tick could be looked at one at a time instead of all at the same time, with decreasing returns on which actions benefit from the responsiveness. Of course it is still a big job even then awarded that encouraging only battle to begin would also likely require supporting movement and some other heavily-tied systems even if a fantastic solution for making this incremental is discovered.
As for me, I think that is the best idea Jagex have experienced a very long time. Also, but the fact that leagues just last a limited amount of time makes it great for boosting the runescape game on platforms such as YouTube and twitch. Hopefully these leagues may also help bring out some more updates to places like Zeah, which are notorious for being too big without enough content (though they've expanded on it fairly well since Kebos).
It is PERFECTLY fine should they take pages out of great features from other games using an OSRS spin. Personally, Im really excited to play this and I dont actually care about the benefits! This is the kind of game style I didnt know I wanted but now I can't wait!! I got back into osrs once I watched swampletics at incident 3. I have seen a number of people say similar items in remarks on this subreddit too. I see this as jagex trying to create that experience for the ordinary runescape 2007 gold runescape participant with a good quality of life and extra goals which is a great thing imo.
