The account mute, or even the silencing of an account, is a type of mini-ban that prevents players from posting forums and chatting in-game a punishment for silence. Jagex usually inflicts it upon anybody who violates the Runescape rules or general terms of service, as the site itself states:"Muting can be prevented by following the Runescape rules along with the Terms and Conditions. This problem is connected to the Jagex accounts, so it will be busy on all products related to that account.".
Being a streamer with over 2000 hours of play invested in Runescape, Elansari did not react very well to this"ban nonstop prohibit" received last March 2019 and, in response, sent a letter to Jagex to instantly drag them to court.
