At first glance it may look like the same colourway and design, but this latest collection utilises the power of 3M reflective material.Now, it appears the first limited-edition colorway of the sneaker is coming soon in a sleek new black & red makeup.Dubbed, the “Black Reflective” this adidas NMD will join the other NMD R1 and EQT ADV in “Chalk and Olive” also available tomorrow. Only coming to life when hit with direct light, the shoe sparkles and glistens for a completely one of a kind look.

On this NMD, tightly woven mesh covers the upper. It gives that lightweight comfort without sacrificing durability or protection.The Primeknit upper of this adidas NMD_R1 STLT begins in a deep Collegiate red for the main body mixed with light grey specks, before transitioning to a full grey toe box.The black upper is accented by the gold accents via the front EVA insert and the heel tab.adidas even adds reflective 3M branding to the adidas NMD R1 side panel stripes.Highlighted with 3M Reflective detailing that appears on the laces, side stripes and logo on the tongues, along with Grey color blocks. As with many others in the range, three stripe branding makes an appearance to the sidewall, and a heel overlay features to the rear.The STLT’s signature lines running across the shoe are knit in black thread for this pair, matching the shoe’s sock-like ankle collar.
Coming in black, this adidas NMD R1 comes with reflective accents all over the upper including the laces and of course, the mesh construction. A white boost midsole adds some contrast.Additional offset arrives courtesy of a contrasting white midsole and white leather patch on the heel. The trefoil-branded heel cap comes in black with reflective silver branding, matched by the sparkling black 3M laces. To compliment the reflective detailing, speckled laces mirror that eye-catching sheen. Finally, an Ultra Boost sole is stamped with black coloured EVA midsole plugs.This looks rather similar to the adidas Consortium NMD “Keys to the City” exclusive, just lacking the premium Primeknit and sock-like ankle collar. This pair features a full-black Boost midsole, finished off by a beautiful marbled red outsole.Black laces then accompany the low-tops to complete the release.The adidas NMD R1 Reflective Black 3M is scheduled to release on Friday via the retailers on the right hand side.
