Defensive tackle Kevin Williams signed a one-day contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday so he could retire as a member of the team.

Williams played in all 16 games for the Saints last year, starting 14 of them and averaging 33 snaps per game -- even more than coach Sean Payton said he anticipated.
