This is a player who currently projects to be the fourth or fifth most targeted player in Philly’s offense this season. The Eagles have also clearly been doing homework on the wide receiver position leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft. They’ve actually hosted more receivers on official pre-draft visits than any other position. And most of the receiver prospects they’ve shown interest in have slot ability.Agholor is currently set to be a free agent in 2020. It seems possible that the Eagles have approached him about an extension in order to lower his cap figure and keep him around long-term. If that’s the case, it seems like the two sides can’t agree on his value. And thus, the Eagles could be ready to move on from their 2015 first-round pick.It remains to be seen what the Eagles could get for Agholor in a trade considering he’s set to make a lot of money on a one-year deal. Maybe they can trade him for a veteran linebacker? Or maybe they can package Agholor and, say, one of their fourth-round picks to move up into a third-round pick? It’ll be interesting to see what the Eagles do at the receiver position in this year’s draft and how that impacts Agholor’s future. It wouldn’t surprise me if Agholor has already played his last snap for Philly.
