Review This is a GREAT book packed with facts, figures, images and opinion. The writing ins simple, economical and unflashy. And it's very digestible prose. Why? Because Estall has thoughtfully served up the material in small portions headed 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and so on upward. Consequently, it's both easy and natural to read a small section, look away, have a think, make a cup of coffee, go mow the lawn and come back for the next mouthful. The pictures are mostly pretty good, it not excellent. Many have been take-in from Estall's personal collection but others are factory shots, racing images, period technical diagrams, factory marketing literature and similar. The bottom line? But the Tiger Cub Bible. You'll have little option but to enjoy it. And if you don't actually own a Cub, this might just be the catalyst you need to go and get one. - Sump. As part of the Veloce Publishing Classic Reprint Series, Mike Estall's book, was originally released in 200 and is now in its eight printing. That fact by itself says something about the quality of the work. Estall's book is a mix of historical textbook, technical specification manual and memoir of one of Triumph's models that was both enduing and endearing. The book covers the Tiger Cub in depth from its earliest days... Estall also prides very unique insight into some of the prototypes envisioned to be the next step in the Tiger Cub's evolution that never made it to production... The book included detailed model profiles spanning 1954 to 1989, which provide specifications in detail from engine particulars and paint colours available to model changes, production details and sales data.
