NFL Week 8 games.EAGLES GAMEPhiladelphia Eagles at Jacksonville Jaguars (in London): An old study shows that just 7% of 3-5 teams make the playoffs. The same study shows that 33% of 4-4 teams qualify for the post-season. Just win today Andrew Sendejo Jerseys 2019 , Eagles. Bloody hell, root for the Eagles.NFC EAST GAMESWashington Redskins at New York Giants: A Washington loss here would be great for two reasons. One, Washington would drop to 4-3 and make it easier for the Eagles to stay in the division race. And two, the Giants winning at this point only screws up their draft position. It’s not like they’re about to go on a run after advancing to 2-6. Really need Saquon Barkley to go off today. Root for Washington to lose.NFC GAMESSeattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions: My view is that the Seahwaks are more threatening to the Eagles than the Lions. Plus Detroit is only 1-2 in conference games while Seattle is 2-2. So root for the Seahawks to lose. Root for the Lions.Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cincinnati Bengals: The 3-3 Bucs rank ahead of the Eagles in the NFC standings. Easy call to root for them to lose. Plus the Bengals winning is preferable when it comes to rooting for Baltimore to give the Eagles a better second-round pick. Need the Ravens to miss out on the playoffs. Or at least not win the AFC North. Root for the Bengals.New York Jets at Chicago Bears: The 3-3 Bears rank ahead of the Eagles in the NFC standings. Easy call to root for them to lose. Plus Sam Darnold should be your favorite non-Eagles quarterback. Root for the J-E-T-S.San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals: I think the 49ers will find a way to win another game or two this year beyond this week. So with that mind, I’d also rather have them win today and give the Cardinals a better chance at the No. 1 overall pick instead of it going to the Giants. Plus there’s a great chance for a regime change in Arizona than in San Francisco Black Jason Kelce Jerseys , which could potentially lead to the Cardinals drafting another quarterback despite having Josh Rosen? That’d be ideal. Root for the 49ers.Green Bay Packers at Los Angeles Rams: Sitting pretty at 7-0, the Rams might very well run away with the NFC even if they lose to the Packers. If you accept that the Eagles likely won’t catch LA, then it makes sense to root against the 3-2-1 Packers. Plus I always subscribe to trying to keep Aaron Rodgers out of the playoffs. Root for the Rams.New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings: Though I won’t enjoy seeing Minnesota win, the truth is the Saints are the bigger threat to the Eagles. Root for the Vikings.DRAFT PICK WATCHBaltimore Ravens at Carolina Panthers: Draft pick watch improved last week with the Ravens falling to 4-3 after dropping a close game to New Orleans. But the NFC standings matter more than the pick right now. So it’s better if the Panthers lose, especially given they now have a head-to-head tie-breaker over Philly. If the Ravens lose Jason Kelce Jerseys 2019 , the consolation prize will be that they’re 4-4 and further from the playoffs. Root for the Ravens.WHAT’S LEFTDenver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs: Might as well root for Andy Reid to continue to do well. Plus the Broncos losing could make it more likely they’re willing to part with some of the players the Eagles are reportedly interested in. Denver drops to 3-5 with a loss. Root for the Chiefs.Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers: Keep the Ravens away from the playoffs. Pittsburgh currently has the AFC North lead. Might as well keep it that way. Not to mention a win would be nice for the city’s spirits right now. Root for the Steelers.Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders: Happy to cheer on Frank Reich. Plus we need the Raiders to lose out to make it harder for the Giants to get the No. 1 pick. Root for the Colts.New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills: Screw Boston. Root for the Bills.BYE WEEKSDallas Cowboys: Up next is a home game against Tennessee. Then the Cowboys will travel to Philly to play the Eagles, who will be coming off their bye, in Week 10. Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons will return from their bye to play Washington on the road.Los Angeles Chargers: A road game against Seattle awaits the Bolts when they return from their bye.Tennessee Titans: As I just mentioned, they have a road game in Dallas in Week 9. Shots fired!"SECOND UPDATE: Donovan McNabb took to Twitter in an attempt to explain his original comments:FIRST UPDATE: Lane Johnson called in to Paul Jolovitz’s Sunday night show on SportsRadio 94WIP to expand on his tweet accusing Donovan McNabb of being a snake.Lane also tweeted support for Wentz:McNabb indirectly responded with this tweet:McNabb has also been responding to critical tweets with various GIFs:ORIGINAL STORY BELOW.Surprisingly, Sunday evening’s most savage moment did not occur on Game of Thrones. Rather Black Darren Sproles Jerseys , it happened when Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson called out Donovan McNabb on Twitter. Take a look:Damn. That’s pretty intense.Johnson is clearly responding to McNabb’s comments from Saturday about how the Eagles need to consider moving on from Carson Wentz if he fails to take Philadelphia to the NFC Championship Game within the next two seasons.Johnson, who quite literally protects Wentz on the football field, was also quick to defend his quarterback shortly after the PhillyVoice report emerged earlier this offseason.Lane admittedly isn’t one to mince words. Here, he’s taking a pretty big shot at one of the more accomplished players in franchise history. McNabb obviously holds a lot of team records and his jersey number was even officially retired. But McNabb’s legacy didn’t do anything to prevent Johnson from calling him a snake (six emojis!) and saying that nobody respects him.Just your normal, quiet Sunday evening.
