DENVER -- The Chicago Cubs placed right-handed pitchers John Lackey and Hector Rondon on the 15-day disabled list Friday, the team announced. Rondon tried to pitch through his issue before the team decided he would potentially have a setback if he kept throwing.Taking their places on the roster are lefty Rob Zastryzny and righty Felix Pena; both will make their major league debuts when they enter a game for the Cubs.Zastryzny represents the first pitcher drafted (second round, 2013) by the current front office to make the team.
