Select Run Diagnostics.You will have to reconfigure the program and/or hardware to permit access to Intuit Data Protect files. If the Diagnostics Tool detects a concern with a firewall or third-party security software, For details about configuring your security software and/or hardware, look at your manufacturer’s website, then add the following files for exceptions:

C:\Program Files(X86)\Common Files\Intuit\Data Protect\IntuitDataProtect.exe

C:\Program Files(X86)\Common Files\Intuit\Data Protect\IbuEnghost.exe

C:\Program Files(X86)\Common Files\Intuit\Data Protect\QBIDPServices.exe

Solution 2: Add Windows Firewall ports

Go right to the Start menu,  into the search field, then type Control Panel

Go to System and Security.

Click on Windows Firewall, then select Advanced Settings.

select Inbound Rules, On the left region of the Advanced Settings window.

You have to select New Rule from the right side of the same window.

Enter the ports, then select Next.

Incoming Port: 80

Outgoing Ports: 443, 16841

Follow the prompts. Follow steps 1-4 for Outbound Rules.

Solution 3: Clear the net Explorer cache, cookies, temporary files, and SSL state

Open Internet Explorer.

Go to the Tools menu, then click on  Internet Options.

Note: If you can’t find Tools in your browser, press Alt once to show hidden tabs.

Go directly to the General tab, then Click on  Delete… underneath the Browsing History section.

Check the following boxes: Temporary Internet files and website files, Cookies and website data, History, Form Data, and InPrivate Filtering, then you need to uncheck the Preserve Favorites and website data box.

You must choose  Delete to clear those items.

Go directly to the Content tab.

You'll want to choose  Clear SSL state, then select OK.

Solution 4: Add Trusted Sites

Open Internet Explorer.

Go directly to the Tools menu, then click on Internet Options.

Go directly to the Security tab, then you definitely have to uncheck the Enable Protected Mode box.

Select Trusted sites and click on Sites.

Uncheck the Require server verification (https:) for several sites in this zone box.

Add *.backup.com, *.intuit.com, and *.intuit.net then click on Close.

Go directly to the Privacy tab, then you definitely need to select Sites.

Within the Address of Website box, add the following websites: *.quickbooks.com and *.intuit.com.

You need to elect to Allow any time you add the internet addresses.

Select OK.
