Converse continues to draw inspiration from its storied roots with the release of the Converse Chuck 70 Mens “Vintage” Collection. All four models in the collection are inspired by 1970’s style, which of course featured the iconic shoe. The collection includes two Chuck Taylor Hi’s, one red and one blue, and two Chuck Taylor Low colorways, one tan and one blue. All four new colorways utilize washed canvas on the upper and a yellowed midsole to truly evoke the Converse Chuck 70 Lowest Price’s feel. All four shoes also sport blue and red piping on the midsole and unique red, white and blue branding on the insole.
Memorial Day doesn’t see quite as many tie-in sneaker releases as some of the other holidays dotting the calendar, but there certainly are a few sneaker comapnies taking advantage. This year Converse is going that route with the Converse Chuck 70 Cheap “Vintage Flag” design here that’s limited to under 1,300 pairs. The shoes take a mismatched approach to achieve the full flag effect, with the right shoe going stripes and the left shoe going stars.
Up next for the classic Converse Chuck 70 US Sale is this new iteration that opts for an all-natural canvas upper offset by the large Converse branding done in Red that wraps around the lateral, heel, and medial sides of the shoe. Other features on the shoe include the off-white rubber sole, tonal lacing, metal eyelets and dark Brown outsole. It’s a simple colorway with a loud statement.
