Gate valves is most likely the most used valve in plumbing applications. Gate valves control drainage is critical by raising or lowering an inside gate preventing water from flowing to the other side more infor .

Gate valves most often have a know on top of a gate that raises or lowers the gate. Gate valves won't be used to limit the pressure flowing to the pipe. They are very reliable and simple to install.Ball valves are another reliable valve used widely in plumbing applications. Ball valves have a very ball which has a hole, that after open allows water flowing into your pipe. When the ball valve is closed, the outlet is perpendicular for the pipe, preventing water from entering the pipe.

Ball valves are operated by having a lever handle, anytime parallel to pipe points too the valve is open, hence the handle provides as a visual aid which means you know that the river is flowing in direction of the handle. When the ball valve is closed it forms a fantastic seal, although no water control can be had when using ball valves.

Gate valves are of rising stem, outside, screw and yoke (OS & Y) with Bolted Bonnet construction. The rising stem indicates open or close position in the valve. The outside screw ensures easy lubrication and prevents corrosion and erosion by line fluids. On request, valves could be supplied with special features like NACE Requirement, Radiography, Magnetic Particle Test, LGC Test and for Oxygen Service etc.

Features of Gate Valve:
Body & Bonnet: The body is made for strength to meet up with the operating conditions and contoured to lower erosion and effectiveness against flow. The bonnet receives renewable seat arrangement.

Flexible Wedge: The one piece, case flexible wedge minimizes stress concentration and assures tight sealing spanning a wide range of different operating temperature and pressure conditions.Full-bore through conduit gate valves prevent solids from entering one's body cavity. The valve body extends equally on both sides from the valve centerline to make a cavity of sufficient length to have a disk or gate using a circular port with the same dimension since the pipe internal diameter (full port valve) (Figure 4.51). These valves is often a solid plate or two-piece plate design, which isolates the valve body cavity from the fluid both in the open and closed position ball valve . They are used in pipelines that really must be scraped or the place where a full-bore valve is necessary.
