Casual gaming giant Zynga is charting a comeback thanks to Word With Friends 2 and Zynga Poker. The company announced that Words With Friends 2 had its best mobile revenue and bookings since its inception. Furthermore, Zynga Poker's mobile revenue increased by 44 percent from a year ago. Plus, CSR 2 mobile revenue was up 90 percent in the same time frame. Fourth quarter revenue is at $233.3 million which it states is 22 percent up from the same quarter a year ago.

Zynga has a daily active user base of 20 million people, with 100 million visiting monthly. The company makes money from in-app purchases and advertising. Zynga reported revenue of $907 million for 2018, with earnings of $15 million, and predicts it will top $1 billion in 2019. It says it was profitable in 2018. While Zynga is on the upswing, it hasn't returned to the glory days of 2011 when the company was valued at $7 billion. Currently it is worth just under $5 billion. If you want to know where to buy Facebook Zynga Poker Chips, 5mmo.com will be your best choice.

Last quarter, Zynga acquired the casual game operations of Peak Games, based in Turkey, for $100 million. For the first quarter, Zynga expects ad revenue will grow, and profit margins will be similar to the first quarter a year earlier. Revenue is expected to be about $200 million, and a net loss will be about $5 million.

Gibeau said the company will continue to launch new games and improvements in its older titles, grow through acquisitions, and invest in emerging technologies such as chat games, augmented reality, virtual reality, and 5G wireless networks. Those latter technologies will be new ways to engage with users, but Zynga does not expect significant monetization from them in 2018.
