What Causes QuickBooks Error 15106?

  2. Restrictions to write and read the new file because the QB user is not logged in as administrator.

Check out and implement the steps mentioned below to solve the error by you-

  1. Firstly, login or sign in as a system administrator.
  2. Confirm that you have any antivirus software running on the computer such as Webroot Spyware Sweeper.
  • Press Enter by pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Esc button from your keyboard.
  • Find the SpySweeper.exe files on the processes tab and if you do not see a similar
  • Select the SpySweeper.exe file and then choose the option to End Process.
  • Go to the C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks (year)\Components.
  • Edit the name of the download box folder to downloadqbxx.old.
  • Restore the QuickBooks Desktop update.
