After posting consecutive road wins over Pittsburgh and Washington, Vancouver fell to 3-2 on its seven-game swing with last nights setback in Toronto. The Maple Leafs scored the first four goals of the contest and held on for a 5-2 decision over the Canucks. The Canucks outshot the Maple Leafs 46-28, but went 0-for-6 on the power play and saw Toronto goaltender Jonathan Bernier come up with 44 saves. Vancouver goaltender Ryan Miller, meanwhile, was pulled after giving up four goals on 14 shots in almost 26 minutes of work. Eddie Lack finished up by halting all 13 Toronto chances for the remainder of the contest. I just didnt make the saves the guys needed, Miller said. (Bernier) played well.
