Instead, Goff walked into Week 1 with the Oakland Raiders and while he put up fine numbers (18 for 33 with 233 yards), the rest of the team was playing at such a high level that Goff seemed average in comparison. His timing was off and he missed receivers badly. Many Rams fans argued that he just needed a couple more games to get his bearings.Then Jared Goff had arguably his best NFL game against the Los Angeles Chargers with a completion percentage of 80.6. Goff threw for 354 yards (the same amount that he accumulated the previous week against the Arizona Cardinals). Goff was getting some hype, but not like Pat Mahomes. After Bradford was sack-fumbled with 11:33 left to play in the 4th, the Cardinals pulled him in favor of 10th overall pick Josh Rosen. The rookie’s first drive came with 4:31 left and the Cardinals facing a 14-16 deficit, needing to drive from his own 20 yard line against a Khalil Mack-led pass rush. Rosen amassed 31 yards on 4 of 6 attempts before throwing an interception to Bears CB Bryce Callahan.
