The offensive line completely imploded, the running game was non existent, the passing game was unable to connect anything past 5 yards for most of the game, the corners were getting bested even when they were in good position, the punting was atrocious and the pass rush was absolutely terrible.Everything about the Oakland Raiders loss to the Seattle Seahawks was bad, there was not one bright spot in the entire game. It’s crazy because as an eternal optimist I usually can come up with a few things even in terrible games to point to. I have nothing here, this game was absolutely pathetic.This was one of Derek Carr’s worst games of his career. He finished 23-31, which doesn’t sound that bad until you finish the sentence by saying for 142 yards. That’s an average completion of just 6.17 yards, and yards per attempt of just 4.58. He also had two strip fumbles Youth Donald Penn Jersey , though no interceptions this game. The 2nd fumble he just straight up dropped the ball out of surprise though when Kolton Miller got rolled backward into him from being obliterated as soon as the ball was snapped.The horrible game that Carr had does come with an asterisk because of how bad the offensive line was, especially the rookie tackles.. You shouldn’t expect much if the QB has such little time to even throw the ball. Still, his lack of pocket awareness is simply astounding. He is a statue that refuses to use his legs to get away from the pressure until it’s entirely too late.It’s astounding how Carr refuses to use his legs when he actually has a fair amount of athletic ability, he could make such a difference by running if he would just be willing to do it. When you watch Aaron Rodgers play he is absolutely extraordinary at setting up pass rushers to open holes for him to sneak through to get extra time and he also is great at taking off when nothing else is open. Derek Carr is the polar opposite of that, he doesn’t have any understanding of how to maneuver out of pressure and he utterly refuses to scramble. Until he figures out that he can’t just stay in a collapsing pocket his game is going to continue to suffer. That is only exaggerated by the struggles of the two rookie tackles now.It seemed like every other play Kolton Miller was doing something awful, this would be a game for him to forget if it wasn’t so important to learn from all the mistakes he made. He was just plain awful all day long but his attempt to recover the first strip sack on Carr was hilariously bad. There is no excuse to not recover that ball, he was the only person even close to it but he flopped directly on top of it and let it skirt out from under him. I guarantee he had the longest flight home out of anybody on the team.It also didn’t help when the Raiders best receiver got knocked out by one of the worst headshots that you will ever see go not flagged. What was the ref even looking at when Amari Cooper got lit up and concussed out of the game? You have players being called for roughing the passer for breathing on a QB, but a defenseless wide receiver in the middle of the field gets straight up knocked out with a head shot and nothing gets called? Unbelievable.Then you have Gareon Conley not even get a single defensive snap in one of the most one sided games ever. I get that Jon Gruden considers him to be a rookie but that is just terrible coaching. There is no possible way that Conley deserved to be treated like that, he didn’t deserve to only play 13 snaps last week and he sure as hell didn’t deserve to not get a single one this week.This team is full on into rebuilding mode and that means that the inexperienced players should be playing the most Womens Reggie Nelson Jersey , not the least. Why not let Conley have a shot against a great QB, the Seahawks were doing whatever they wanted anyway. Let the kid play and get experience so maybe he won’t be like a full on rookie again next season. There is absolutely no excuse on that, none.The best part to come now is that the Raiders have a bye week to sort this shit show out as best they can, though I’ve rarely had less faith in that happening than I do right now. Actually, now that I think about it the best part of the bye coming right now is that we get a week long break of the agony of watching this team’s death spasm in the first year of Gruden 2.0.Enjoy the week off everybody, hopefully Gruden manages to put a team on the field worth watching when the Raiders come back from the Bye week. All three winners had game winning drives late in their games with the Broncos being the only losers of the bunch. Patrick Mahomes stats came back to earth in this one with him going 28 of 45 for 304 yards and throwing just one touchdown.However, he got a lot of help from his running game instead with Kareem Hunt having 121 yards on 19 carries with 1 touchdown and Mahomes himself running in another touchdown as well. They actually started out this game responding to a Broncos field goal with a field goal and Mahomes running touchdown to take a 10-3 lead.Then the back and forth started because Denver followed that up with a touchdown and a field goal of their own to retake the lead 13-10. Kansas City tied it at 13 before Denver added on 10 more points to take the commanding 23-13 lead which they ended up squandering when KC got two 4th quarter touchdowns to win with a late comeback.Denver was relying on both of their impressive rookie running backs for much of their damage with Royce Freeman having 8 carries for 67 yards and TD along with Phillip Lindsay finishing with 12 carries for 69 yards and a TD. Case Keenum didn’t have a great day going 21 of 33 for 245 yards no touchdowns and an interception but with what they accomplished in the running game it should have been enough to win if the defense could have just made some late stops.Los Angeles Chargers beat the San Francisco 49ers 29-27Everyone thought the 49ers would just fold up and quit after Jimmy Garrapolo was lost for the year to a knee injury, but they came out swinging against the Chargers with back up turned starter C.J. Beathard. They scored first with an interception returned for a touchdown and then again after a quick 44 yard drive was capped by a 2 yard TD pass from Beathard. The Chargers responded with a touchdown drive of their own with an Antonio Gates touchdown reception, just another one to add to his hall of fame career, but they missed their extra point so it was 14-6 San Francisco.The 49ers added to the lead with a field goal to make it 17-6 but it was on a 21 play drive so that was actually a win for the Chargers after holding them to just 3. The Chargers then took the lead with 20 straight unanswered points.San Francisco wasn’t done though, they scored on an 82 yard touchdown pass to TE George Kittle and added a field goal to regain the lead 27-26. It wasn’t enough though Womens Derek Carr Jersey , Rivers led the Chargers down for another field goal to retake the lead 29-27 and held on to win the game after that. It was a great effort from C.J. Beathard in the loss, but they couldn’t quite do enough to hold on for the improbable victory.Oakland Raiders beat the Cleveland Browns 45-42What a doozie of a game this was for the Oakland Raiders. It was a wild roller coaster ride for them and the Browns, taking overtime before finally being settled in the end by a Raiders field goal. It had looked like the Raiders were doomed several times, but they scored 21 points in the 4th quarter to force overtime and squeak out the win.Oakland actually started out with the lead thanks to Gareon Conley having his first pick 6 when he intercepted rookie Baker Mayfield and returned it for a touchdown. However, the Browns scored 17 unanswered points after that to take the 17-7 lead before the Raiders scored again on an Amari Cooper touchdown reception.The Browns then got a field goal, a touchdown and a 2 point conversion to take a commanding 28-14 lead in the 3rd quarter. That’s when things got fun though, because the Raiders came roaring back with 20 unanswered points to retake the lead 34-28. The Browns were done though, they scored two touchdowns of their own to seemingly put away the Raiders 42-34.The Oakland defense finally got a huge stop though and got the ball back with under 2 minutes to go. Then Derek Carr proceeded to lead the Raiders down the field in under a minute to score a touchdown to Jared Cook and then tie the game with a 2 point conversion pass to Jordy Nelson. Then the defense forced overtime with a late Reggie Nelson interception to end the Browns chances of winning in regulation.It took almost all of overtime before the game was finally decided by a Raiders field goal in the final 2 minutes. After it was mostly defense for the first two possessions the Raiders offense took control thanks to some tough running from Marshawn Lynch who had his best game as a Raiders with 20 carries for 130 yards and 3 receptions for 27. It was his last beastmode run of 11 yards that secured the game winning field goal with the 45-42 victory.
