I need to do some research on a few companies whose stock I'm thinking about buying. Tried paying for those subscription services with their analysis, but realized pretty quick it's just amateurs throwing stuff together, totally wasted my money. I actually need real data and proper research that could predict whether these stocks are going to grow or tank. Is there anywhere I can go for something like that?

Those subscription newsletters are mostly recycled garbage from public filings that anyone can read for free. They slap together some charts, throw in buzzwords about market trends, and call it analysis. Half the time their predictions are dead wrong because they're just guessing based on surface-level stuff. You need people who actually dig into the financials, look at management decisions, check the competitive landscape. Real research takes time and expertise, not just some guy rewriting press releases and charging you monthly for it.

The problem with most services is they're pumping out volume instead of quality, trying to cover every stock under the sun. You end up with shallow takes that don't tell you anything useful about where a company's actually headed. You can check out First Strike Research https://firststrikeresearch.org/ . They do independent research on specific companies, dig into the data deep, so you get information that's actually useful for making decisions. They're not trying to sell you on every hot stock, they just break down what's really going on with the business.
