On Friday, hours before Gibson called off his rally, Lee joined a Civic Center Plaza gathering and told several hundred people in the audience that ""you all know that some people are coming in tomorrow to our city -- you know as well as I do that they have a message that we don't believe in, a message of hate.""
Gibson said he and others from Patriot Prayer would hold a press conference Saturday at a location other than Crissy Field, and challenged Mayor Lee and other city officials to guarantee safety.
