New Fortnite Patch 4.4 Launches Soon [Update]

Another week means another Fortnite update is along the way. Developer Epic Games has confirmed the newest patch, version 4.4, is slated for release quite soon. And while unfortunately we cannot have patch notes as of this time, perform know what looks for being one of its headlining features. [Update: Patch 4.4 is available and truly does introduce the Stink Bomb item; Week 8 challenges may also be live.]

In a post on Twitter, Epic confirmed that server downtime begins for Fortnite at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET / 9 AM BST / 6 PM AET on Tuesday, June 19.

An exact agenda for servers to send back hasn't been announced, but when they are back online, update 4.4 will likely be available for download. This is described in-game as being a "content update," to help you expect it to the site

Fortnite: Battle Royale's in-game New Updates screen teases something called the Stink Bomb that's out soon. It looks to become a new style of grenade that "explodes in to a cloud on impact and slowly damage anyone inside."

Just how lethal it are going to be is unclear, but given Epic's usual time table for Fortnite Weapons adding items indexed by the New Updates area, you will begin using this on Tuesday.
