POE Currency is partial to issuing manifestos, particularly when it’s nerfing stuff hoping to break it to you personally gently. This week’s manifesto is performing just that ahead from the game’s War to the Atlas expansion Friday while leaving the buffs available for you to puzzle out through the patch notes.
At the core in the nerfs may be the Vaal Pact Keystone. “Being competent to leech instantly meant many threats were completely mitigated by high-damage fast-hitting characters with minimal leech investment,” Grinding Gear Games explains. “Vaal Pact may be changed to not grant instant leech, but rather doubles your character’s leech rate and maximum leech rate. This was one in the most heavily-requested nerfs within the history of Cheap POE Currency.”
In addition to debuffs for a number of other skills, the action will also make leveling from 95 to 100 take considerably more playtime. GGG has further discussed how your Atlas are going to be affected by the patch (you might see changes for a completed maps) and what you'll be able to win by participating within the new Abyss Challenge League, which launches alongside the increase.
