Could you say that he was still responsible, sure. However, I also believe there were people higher up that produced madden the game it is today. Rex was the one to
Mut 21 coins gut M12's Franchise and replaced it with all the dead version we have today. He was there for I believe 6 years. He turned into a"martyr" for him being outspoken against EA in the conclusion. Where was he when he had been in charge of matters and gutted the old franchise? Of course he isn't going to take responsibility for his own participation, or lack thereof, to madden success. 2K nevertheless has a yearly dev cycle, has executives/VPs, etc. . appease. Yet, it produces a much superior finished product.
Pretty sure this reaction was to quiet negativity quite a little, at least before launch, so they are able to keep their M21 ad campaign going without much disturbance. And I believe they achieved their objective. When match launch will be close, just mark my words, they gonna appear and say exactly this:" Sorry, staff worked hard, but we couldn't make any huge changes so deep into development phase. However, this work is going to be put to use in M22, which will have overhauled and amazing franchise expreince". Not to mention M22 franchise will still be identical as M13. It'll be exact same thing they did with M20. Since launch, when game was absolutely unplayable for very big collection of PC players who had Core i5 chips (which has largest userbase). They kept telling commumity in their official stations that team is"working hard on the correct", right up before NFL season was over, to keep up sales and then came out and said that fix wasn't coming. They didn't even provide any refunds to individuals who got screwed over like this.
Theory: Madden simply Sonic the Hedgehog'd us. Put an intentionally bad memo about what's new in franchise mode so they can come back out in a month, say they haven't had enough time to produce big advancements so these are the small ones they made, and watch the community provide them praise for performing the least. I would be prepared to bet that whatever they include was in the works for a while today, and they're gonna find favorable press for it now even though it won't be a lot. In case it provides us a fantastic Franchise mode. I really don't care what strategy they did lol. But will their strategies give us a fantastic franchise mode? Probably not.
My theory is a dev wrote up that part with the intent to make it sound as shitty as you possibly can shine a light on how bad the problem has gotten. Yep. This is actually the EA playbook. It's why battlefield V is crap this year. That a manner they can alter everything back and say that they"corrected" things and then Battlefield 6 will be a way better game. EA does so all of the time. This is amazing they responded, be positive, but do not get your hopes up too much. But I'm praying they provide something good this year. It's only lip service and
mmoexp mut 21 coins damage control. We have heard the exact same thing for years about franchise style. It is just a corporate cover your ass PR message to try and get the heat off them. The game is only weeks away from release... It is realistically impossible that they would have the time and resources to develop something new for franchise in that time.
