Runelite is just good as it is community developed and run with a good developer and decent person. He is not qualified to work in the united kingdom. If Jagex bought Runelite, it might mean less development and less new attributes, that's the current problem with their vanilla client.

Many people have begun playing because mobile's release and that is about the vanilla customer. If you are sub base-40s or 50s and receding early quests, there isn't much that RL Provides that is that exceptional or necessary

I played it back in the day and only got sucked back because it's on iPad. I am exactly the person you describe (mid-40s combat, lower for everything else and knocking out ancient quests) and the official customer is good for me right now. I downloaded RL but I do not know why it is so much better.
