I used to play on wow classic gold Draenor, then moved down to Magtheridon and it's a lot better even though Magtheridon is still a horrible realm. Afterwards, I moved to a few of the tiniest realms in EU and it's so much different here. Many would say the kingdom feels dead and honestly, they're incorrect, but the feeling of neighborhood is definitely there. There's always someone helping somebody on commerce chat and there is just generally a very good air here in contrast to bigger realms.
I wholeheartedly recommend you have a jab at a few other realms and find out how they feel in contrast, since I can almost guarantee you that many realms will probably be better compared to Draenor. You can use something like this site to roughly gauge the realm dimensions. This is highly inaccurate because it only takes in to account a part of the playerbase on any given realm, but it'll provide you an idea on what's a big and what is a small realm. On top of that, RP lands, barring Argent Dawn, are in my experience generally more favorable than non-RP realms.
I really love this comment, thank you. Definitely having a look. I'd much prefer a more compact pop and much better experience to a massive pop and awful experience. I am not sure how it's in EU since im in NA however, the buy classic wow gold RP and RPvP realms tend to have far better communities, even in the event that you don't plan on RPing.
Some of my buddies insisted on playing on Illidan to get BFA since thats the kingdom all of the big pve guilds and aggressive WOW players are around. After a couple weeks I needed to move back to ED, a community just makes WOW Classic 1000x better.
