He broke his left ankle in the AL championship series in October, and he went down again right after he made his much anticipated return. After missing the first 91 games, he served as the designated hitter against Minnesota on July 11. Then, in his third at-bat, he strained his right quadriceps and wound up going back on the disabled list.
