Union Los Angeles has teamed up with their California neighbors Vans for a three colorway tribute to the iconic Vans Old Skool Womens. Simple, refined, and elegant, the three spring-ready pastel shades feature luxurious treatments ranging from a twill weave, contrasting suede, and pebble grain leather. Tonal options include Dusty Pink, Muted Gold, and Off-White colorways while a natural veg-tan leather hits the inner lining to match a marine blue boat shoe outsole for a lifestyle twist. 

Teased slowly throughout the past month, here’s a first look at NASA Vans footwear capsule with an inspiration taken from the space explorers of the organization. Using the Vans Old Skool Mens and Sk8-Hi 46 MTE DX as their canvas, the full capsule will usher in a series of palettes that borrow inspiration from astronaut suits while using patched insignias to further establish the overall concept. Both the white and orange pair of the Old Skools exhibit printed typography along the lateral side while a removable velcro patch of the American flag stands boldly along the heel.

The Vans Old Skool Outlet Store and Sk8-Hi are built with leather and suede panels, the iconic checkerboard pattern on the medial side, and the distinct red Vans stripe to reflect the retailer’s chief color. Further notes of homage are seen on the lace-tips, which feature “Bascom”, and 25th Anniversary insoles. 

Skateboard brand Alltimers teams up with Vans this summer for an all-new edition of the Vans Old Skool Discount in a “space age” design. The not-so-serious skate brand brings their playful aesthetic to the Old Skool silhouette for a futuristic mesh construction with cotton webbing and reflective accents inspired by an imagined narrative of where laser-wielding aliens have taken over the world. The unique Vans Old Skool for Sale will drop in two colorways of royal/yellow and white/blue sitting atop the durable and cushioned Vans Pro skate vulcanized waffle outsole.
